Get ready to spice up your stitching game with my Sun Tarot Embroidery Kit! This detailed design gives embroidery a modern twist inspired by the vibes of the Sun tarot card.
This is my most detailed design yet so I would say it is intermediate level, so if you’ve already got some stitching under your belt (or you’re an ambitious newbie) this is a great choice!
It’s not as complex as it looks though, I promise. The techniques are all pretty standard for embroidery, there is just a lot of stitching to be done - I dunno about you but I personally love a lengthy project to get my teeth (well, needle) into. I also always ensure my instructions are as clear as humanly possible, so you won’t be going it alone 💖
This listing is for a physical embroidery kit that is suitable for beginners. It features a variety of different techniques that are all achievable for complete novices or good practice for those with some sewing skills under their belt already. You can also complete this hoop in only back stitch if you prefer.
This was illustrated for me by super-talented artist Maya Chessman - we're hoping to add more to the series if it's popular!
Please note: The nature of fabric means that the outline of the tarot card may warp when your fabric is stretched in the hoop. I corrected this with a heat erasable pen before I filled in the tarot card edge. If you think you'd like to do this too, please add a pen to your order if you don't own one already.
This one is slightly more expensive than my other 6" kits as it has a loooot more thread in it! x
The finished design measures 6 inches.
FULL EMBROIDERY KIT CONTENTS:
- Cotton fabric pre-printed with embroidery pattern ready to stitch as photographed. Please note the ink is permanent and is designed to be fully covered with stitching.
- 6" wooden Elbesee embroidery hoop made from FSC-certified beech
- Embroidery needle
- All needed embroidery threads. These are high-quality DMC threads. The kit includes enough thread to finish plus a little extra, as well as the colour codes for future use
- Full instructions (written in English) including colour guide and stitch guide
- Pattern to trace onto fabric if you want to make more of this design in the future
- No plastic packaging!
You will just need some scissors - everything else is supplied!
